SOUTH SIDE - E373/E374/TNK371/U371/B2
Station Six was built in 2003 when the department took over Portage Lego Twp Vol. Fire Department. Station Six is located on the South Side of the city at 41 Carlisle Ave. This area has all the major manufactory buildings located here and the department and city seen it fit to place a station close but not to close to the area in case of a major incident. Station Six is the second largest station in the department and currently has a four bay apparatus station with two drive through bays. Battalion 2 is located at this station as well.
Engine Co. 3
Engine Co. 3 was placed into service on May 23, 1945 when the town seen it needed another engine due to the growing demand of the town which brought more calls to the department. The first Engine Co. 3 was a 1940 Seagrave bought used from another local department which was buying a newer engine. This engine served the department for 19 years when in 1964 a brand new engine was bought from Mack. This would be the Mack C series which was very popular. Then as time goes on that engine was replaced with a Seagrave. Then in 2004 the department placed in service it's second KME. A 2004 KME 75ft AerialCat and was given the designation Engine Co. 3 and labeled as a Heavy Engine. This engine can be used as either a engine or a ladder truck or both on scenes.
Engine Co. 4
Engine Co. 4 operates a 2003 KME with a 2000gpm pump, 800 Gallon Water Tank, 1600' x 5" Hose (Split Loaded), 2 x 1 3/4 " Preconnected Handlines, 1 x 1 3/4" Preconnected Bumper Line, 3 x 3" Rear Preconnects, 10 KW Harrison Generator, Hale 5.0 Foam Master system, 18 Gallons - Class A Foam, 20 Gallons - Class B Foam, Remote Controlled Deck Gun.
Tanker Co. 1
2000 Mack CL Model by 4-Guys, 1000 GPM Pump, 2500 Gallon water tank, 12" Jet Assist Dump Valve @ 3750 GPM, 2 x 1 3/4" Crosslays, 2500 Gallon Fold-a-Tank, 2 SCBA's, Train Horns.
Utility Co. 1
Utility Co. 1 was placed into service on July 5, 2012. Utility Co. 1 operates this 2011 Ford F250 TurboDiesel 4x4. This unit carries hand tools, 2 Pressurized water extinguishers, and a First Aid/Medical Bag.
